Ministries

Worship

God has blessed our body with a variety of talents that work together to enhance the experience when we meet together for corporate worship. It is also one of our key commitments: the commitment to worship. From musicians, sound people, and AV technicians to our Worship Arts team, all contribute to help the congregation focus in worship to Jesus Christ. We are always looking for people who want to use their gifts in this area.

Small Groups

We believe the heart of our church is sharing our lives together in small groups. You can develop strong, supportive relationships, study the Bible and discover how to become more like Jesus. Our small groups are as diverse as our body is, whether that is for a meal together and socializing, or for prayer, or Bible study, or watching a movie together. There are even groups that meet around various interests, such as art or hiking or community service. We have a group for you too.

Care Ministries

Whether it is visiting seniors, benevolent, or delivering Meals On Wheels to shut-in’s, GBC’’s Care Ministry helps us reach out to those in need in our community in a very tangible way. We can always use more people with a heart for meeting people’s needs.

Facilities

We have one of the best facilities in the town of Hope and we open it to the community for all types of events: concerts, weddings, funerals, corporate events, and community musicals. And we never charge for facility rental. Our philosophy is that everyone, regardless of socio-economic status, should be able to attend and participate in whatever the church is hosting. So concerts are by donation, and our Social Committee provides free “teas” for funerals. We have a small but dedicated team that clean and upkeep our facility. It is a great ministry for those who like to work behind the scenes. Perhaps that’’s you.

Adult Outreach

This ministry has a broad range, from local outreach and Alpha Groups to missionaries overseas. Our community of faith shares the love of Jesus through service within our town and by supporting missionaries in countries around the world. This is where members can identify their commitment to mission.

Adult Faith

Our commitment to learning is rooted in this dynamic GBC ministry. Personal growth can be realized via a diverse selection of learning opportunities. Adult Sunday School on Sunday mornings and the Apprentice Series are just a couple of examples of ways for you to learn more about your relationship with a living, loving God.

Welcoming & Connecting

We have people involved in this ministry who are passionate about welcoming people to our body. It is very important that you feel welcomed and accepted when you attend GBC and our team works to make sure you do. They also help newcomers get connected with GBC ministries. If that is important to you as well, consider joining our team of ushers & greeters, help out with a monthly Soup & Bun after Sunday Worship, or perhaps sign-up as a host for an evening of “Guess Who’’s Coming For Dinner”.

Youth & Families Ministries

The heart of our community and the future of our church body is found in people under 19 years of age. Our Pastor of Youth & Families heads up some of our most active ministries. From our popular Kid’s Clubs program to One Step for Junior Highs, Senior High Friday Night Youth, as well as a discipleship time called Stories, we offer a chance for young people to explore and question their personal beliefs and relationship with God.

Men’s Ministry

With a strong focus on sharing our spiritual stories and pursuing Christian fellowship, we have opportunity to encourage both the men who regularly attend GBC as well as the men from the community churches of Hope.

Check the GBC calendar for upcoming GBC Men’s Ministry events.

Men who attend Grace Baptist Church have opportunity throughout the year to participate in Men’s Prayer Groups, Men’s Bible Study Groups, Special Events (Sports outings/Tradex Shows/Retreats/Conferences) as scheduled or requested and as opportunities arise. Contact the GBC office if you have questions regarding participation in GBC Men’s Ministry.
